In our 1st annual SFU Student Entrepreneur of the Year competition in 2008, SEY discovered Milun Tesovic, founder of Metrolyrics, a music lyrics database that specializes in providing visitors with information on the latest news, songs and more. His website draws more than 45 million monthly visitors. He was the winner of the competition that year, going on to win the BC Student Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2009, as well as being crowned the Western ACE Regionals Student Entrepreneur Champion and the ACE Nationals Student Entrepreneur Champion. Recently, he was crowned the Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010.

U-Connect
U-Connect connects organizations of all sizes with students for short and long term contract work. A business to business service, U-Connect achieves this purpose online through a recently beta-launched website where students and businesses can register for free. Thus far, they have connected approximately 7 students to project work. They anticipate building their network of students and businesses with the idea of garnering as much feedback on their system as possible. U-Connect provides a venue to connect the world’s untapped talent to opportunities.
